Approach to the Injured Child: Controversies in Pediatric Trauma

Join Dr. Levy as he explores the controversies surrounding the
assessment and management of the critically injured child. Areas to be
covered include, initial evaluation and management of pediatric trauma
with primary emphasis on blunt thoracoabdominal injuries, early
recognition and stabilization of life-threatening injuries,
familiarization with appropriate studies and interventions in the
pediatric trauma patient, post stabilization, recognition of those
patients who should be transferred to a pediatric trauma center.
